  1. After having a baby I thought I would be able to bounce right back….so ambitious and no one warned me, thanks Mina  If I don’t get my workout on during the day it’s definitely not going to happen when I get home. So with that said I have to say I enjoy knowing I’m going to work out although I don’t always necessarily enjoy the actual work that goes into it. As we are now entering the 5th week of the program the excitement for the program has already dwindled but ultimately I know I’m doing this for myself. So with that said I have made every effort to show up to my group ready to work and get the most out of the time spent at the SRC.

Although I have been pretty inactive for the past year I still consider myself pretty athletic so initially I didn’t feel like the workouts were pushing me very much and I was kind of going thru the motions. Due to my crazy schedule I think I’ve been to a variety of different groups (with the exception of the 7 – 8 am) so two Fridays ago I went to the lunch session and I got what I asked for. I was able to do the high intensity circuit training that Sadat and Christina do and I finally felt like yes this is pushing me and hopefully it will get me closer to my fitness goals. Now in hindsight I probably would’ve quit had I done that the first week j/k but the intensity level was exactly what I needed to feel like I was pushing myself. The eating habits is what kills me as I see that’s been a challenge for most of us participants. I’m trying to slowly wean myself from one thing at a time rather than making all of these changes at once. So the first thing for me is just eating a salad a day. I normally start off strong and then I fall back into the same patterns so for now that’s it as far as nutrition goes. I’ll keep you posted as I try to cut out all the other unhealthy habits I’ve been doing all my life 

So as of now I’m enjoying the work and feeling like I’m getting the most out of my time spent at the SRC. Ultimately I would like to increase my workouts from 2 now up to at least 3-4 per week. I figure it’s now or never so I might as well push myself as much as I can in the time that I have to take advantage of this program. I get bored pretty easily so I’m hoping we mix it up a bit and do some different types of activities. I know it’s a challenge for Andrew to have to manage all of the different levels he is working with so I would like to thank you for your patience as you get acclimated to this program as well as all of us.

  2. Good I'm glad you are feeling challenged now. Thank you for being willing to switch to the M,W,F, lunch class. It will make it more enjoyable for you to be able to do the interval training with others that are doing the same thing.
